30 April 2021World Energy Days 2021
20 October 2021On July 5 we celebrate World Environment Day. It was established by the UN in 1972 and from that moment on, for almost 50 years, people never lost their chance to use these day to inform and to create positive change on topics concernign the environment.
Each year has a different theme: from the water pollution and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime.
World Environment Day 2021 calls for urgent action to revive our damaged ecosystems, which have been strongly affected and destroyed during the las few years.
Also, with the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been shown even more how disastrous the consequences of ecosystem loss can be for both us and the planet.
To revive our damaged ecosystems is a fundamental first step to go from their exploitation to their restorement.
With this year World Environment Day, the UN starts its Decade of Ecosystem Restoration program, a global mission aimed to revive millions of ecosystems: from forests to farmlands, from the top of the mountains to the deep seas.
